InventoryOwl is an inventory planning app for Shopify merchants, operated by North Country USA, LLC. This policy explains what data the app accesses, why, and what we do with it.
When you install InventoryOwl, it reads the following from your store:
InventoryOwl does not read, store, or transmit customer names, email addresses, phone numbers, shipping or billing addresses, or payment information. These fields are not requested by the app and are not present in the data it retrieves.
The app uses sales history to calculate how quickly each variant sells. From that it derives reorder points, safety stock levels, suggested order quantities, and flags for slow-moving inventory. Order data is aggregated into daily units-sold figures per variant. It is not used for any other purpose.
Data is stored in a PostgreSQL database hosted by Railway in the United States. It is encrypted in transit using TLS and encrypted at rest by the hosting provider. Each store’s data is scoped to that store and is not combined with or compared against data from other stores.
We do not sell your data, share it with advertisers, or provide it to any third party beyond the providers listed above.
Your data is retained while InventoryOwl is installed on your store. When you uninstall the app, we delete your store’s data, including product records, sales aggregates, calculated values, and stored access tokens.
You may request deletion at any time while still installed by contacting us at the address below.
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete the data we hold about your store, and to object to or restrict its processing. To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details below. We respond to requests within 30 days.
Because InventoryOwl does not process personal information about your customers, requests from individual shoppers should be directed to the merchant whose store they purchased from.
Access to production systems is limited to authorized personnel. Connections to the app and to the database are encrypted. API credentials are stored as environment variables and are never committed to source control.
If we make material changes to this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page and notify merchants through the app.
